Searching through the backlog to find a game that catches my eye. Looks like it'll be on PS4 unless I choose LEGO Horizon Adventures or pick up a PS5 game.

That one is getting a lot of hype. Any of you guys planning to venture into the Crimson Desert at launch? I'm interested but won't buy until I learn more.

Played recently: Horizon: Forbidden West

Finished: nothing

Added to backlog: nothing

Rolling along in the Forbidden West. Got to Scalding Spear and doing jobs for those weirdoes now. Onward.

I've been saving up my Microsoft reward points for a few months for it. Looks amazing, so hopefully it doesn't disappoint!

Games added: Nothing, I think

Last week: Finished Dead Island 2.

This week: Started Planat of Lana 2, waiting on Crimson Desert.

PoL2 is on Gamepass (as was the first one, which was excellent). Just started it, but so far so good. Dead Island 2 was a really good time overall. It wasn't perfect - the difficulty spikes in the last quarter of the game, but really only for the optional missions. Leveling up gets you extra power-ups and power-up slots, but later on in the game leveling up actually hurts you more than it helps because enemies level up with you and your weapons are less effective the lower they are in comparison to your level. However weapons drop like candy so that's never really an issue. Story was surprisingly decent for a zombie game, smashing zombies was always a good time, and I had no major technical issues (I think one crash in my entire playtime, which if I had to guess was probably 40-50 hours). Well worth the $7 I paid for the complete edition, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for some good dumb fun. It also has 4-player co-op that I didn't get to play but sounds like a blast.
"When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed
if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I
became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the
desire to be very grown up.” ― C.S. Lewis
