Just when things were starting to improve a little for me a series of unfortunate events occurred that have set me back even more both mentally and physically. I’m not sure when or even if I’ll be well enough to game again at this point.

I had no idea there's a Vertigo game. Wow. Sadly, no Kim Novak.
Her helmet hair makes me angry!
And yeah, to echo cane phase, I hope things improve for you. It's hard to know what to say when someone is really struggling, and sometimes it's easier to say nothing. But I just want you to know that I'm pulling for your well-being in my own way. Breathe in...breathe out...repeat. It's all we really ever do. Everything else is window dressing. Hang in there.
So I forgot to mention this, but a few weeks back my deluxe edition of Little Kitty, Big City came in. Wanted a physical copy of that one because I loved playing through it last year, and will most likely play through it again at some point because it's so relaxing. Anyway, I went with the deluxe edition because it was just a few $$ more and included, among other things, a frog hat. Behold:
"When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed
if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I
became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the
desire to be very grown up.” ― C.S. Lewis

Ha, I somehow missed that. Reminds me of my family's favorite game, now being played by a third generation:
