Games added: Wandersong (switch)

Last week: Finished nothing, played Cyberpunk 2077 & Carrion

This week: Same

Didn't have a lot of time to play anything this week, the first week back has hit like a truck. Got in a little of the 2 I mentioned, hopefully will have some more time next week.

Oh, and I'm up for a promotion at work, so cross whatever you've got for me! :D

You got it! I have a job interview tomorrow morning so same for me, if you are so inclined. Also still praying for you, Phase!

Played recently: Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal

Finished: nothing

Added to backlog: R&C: Up Your Arsenal and Deadlocked

Current backlog: 45

I hooked up the ol' PS3 and fired up UYA, which is wonderful, as expected. Crazy that I never got around to it on PS2 or PS3.

Cane, argyle...ball hairs crossed for your job opportunities. :P

Image

Hopefully argyle, you'll get a nice pay bump - along with absolutely absurd job demands that drain the life out of you. :P (strike the second part) And cane, perhaps you will no longer be a stanky bum who bathes once a quarter. :P Seriously though, good luck to you both.

Also phase, like cane I'm wishing you well. I know you're not doing regular gaming, and maybe you don't feel like chatting, but your input is welcome as far as I'm concerned. I understand if you're not well though. It's hard to engage with life in the same way when times are tough.

**********************

I'm still playing and enjoying The Suffering. I'm on chapter 16 of 20 (I believe I read it was), and it has been a tense thrill ride. Good atmosphere and a nice sense of danger. There are some odd design choices and some clear age-related sensibilities. And the PC port is not good. (too many freezes and getting controller integration was tough to get right. Those old PC ports didn't really care about console-centric preferences. Understandably, I guess. But, I'm a hybrid dammit! :P) I should have just played on PS2, but I'm almost done now.

Finished: Dragon Quest III Remake (platinum)

Now Playing: The Stanley Parable

Added to Backlog: The Stanley Parable

Current Backlog: 43 games

Picked up The Stanley Parable for free via PS+ and it's such a wacky game. Going to see how much I can ignore the narrator to get the best dialogue.

And good luck to argyle and cane!

Congrats! Will be praying for your success, and appreciate all the prayers & well-wishes for my promotion. The wheels turn slowly around here, so who knows when I'll find anything out...

Thanks, your thoughts, prayers and well-wishes are appreciated. Gaming has been a big part of my life because in addition to being fun it’s also something that I could always rely on to somewhat escape my mental and physical health problems, but now with how my vision is I can’t enjoy it like before. I’m in a constant state of depression that I just can’t shake, and as much as I want to game and talk about gaming I can’t bring myself to do it right now. I have gotten a little better, so I’m hoping that I’ll eventually be able to enjoy playing and talking about games again.

With that said, argyle and cane I’m hoping for the best for you to get the promotion and job that you want.

Well, hang in there brother. All we can do is the best we can with the cards we're dealt.

I gave The Stanley Parable a 2/5 back on April 18, 2019. I guess the cleverness missed me. :P Certainly a game where my opinion is in the minority though.

And seeing you having played another Dragon Quest is making me realize how much I want to explore this series more thoroughly. I've only played 11, and I'm thinking of going back to the beginning on the NES sooner or later.
