Yeah izzy, the background stuff is really fun in these games. Those and the supers are really entertaining to pull off. I didn't find the Mark Hamill replacement too jarring but I have been watching DC animated flicks for years so I'm used to people impersonating him poorly

.
I started Injustice 2 last night. I really, really don't like the input and combo system in these games. I understand they want easy inputs but the pace at which they want them for heat of the moment combat is too much for me. I am probably just too old and to set in my Capcom fighter style

. They also went a weird way with the art style. It's still not...good. They took a hard turn from what they did in the first game where they way overdid the muscles and general structure (oh dear god, poor Wonder Woman) and made everyone look relatively athletic and lean but now there's no comics style at all. It's this weird hybrid of MK and Arkham and it's just...blah.
...but Ninja Turtles! All of them! And Hellboy! And an arcade mode (they make you dig for...weird)! Grodd, goshdang goofy ass Gorilla Grodd! And this parts system seems cool, I can see this being why they chose basic designs since you're supposed to add all these costume parts to the characters. Plus the multiverse thing seems like that path thing you could play in Soul Calibur or World Tour in SFA3 so there's incentives to keep playing and actually build your characters. I wish I could get into the combo system more but I might spend time ducking in and out of this one especially since the multiverse thing is randomized daily from what I can tell. I assume the story is still fairly short but the last one was dang entertaining so I look forward to this overtly dark take on DC.
