Played recently: Far Cry 5
Finished: nothing
Added to backlog: Grounded: Fully Yoked Edition
Current backlog: 43
I'm about halfway through the second of three regions of FC5. Very enjoyable formula for me... explore, take out enemy bases, do main and side missions, rinse repeat.
Sadly, I lost my fantasy football championship game in brutal fashion, so no PS5 just yet.

But your Ravens are looking like they're peaking at the right time. Can they finally get over that nasty Mahomes virus? And the Bills look like a real threat this year in the AFC too.

I've been playing a pretty generic 3D platformer called Poi. Despite it being pretty vanilla, I really enjoy the genre, and so I'm having a good time. It's got kind of an addictive quality and offers a continuous and satisfying sense of progression. Here's a trailer for any who may be unaware and/or possibly interested.
Edit: Crim! Ahem...Waiting on your new gamer's club.

Games added: Broforce, Yomawari: The Long Night Collection & Lost in the Dark
Last week: Finished Marsupilami, played Inscryption & Cyberpunk
This week: Same
Marsupilami turned out to be a real banger of a platformer. Very unexpected, that game is WAY better than it has any right to be. Towards the end, and especially if you go for all the collectibles like I did, it gets very challenging. Highly recommended 2D platformer.
Cyberpunk has its hooks in me pretty good now. The intro finally ended & the real meat of the story kicked in (takes a few hours!). Very interesting plot. My only minor issue right now is I find the upgrades/equipment to be a little confusing - may see if there's a good youtube video to break it down for my smooth brain.
Have you guys played Inscryption? Because it's turning out to easily be the weirdest game I've played in a LONG time. Just defies description. And if you are interested, I'll say just play it, don't read or watch anything on it beforehand.

Played: Nothing. Literally. This long vacation absolutely sucked, daycare has been closed since I have been off so that was my vacation. I am not pleased
Bought: Laboring over what to get in the Steam sale. Kingdom Hearts and Relink are locks. So other cheap ones like MegaMan X Dive and a bunch of Arkham stuff too. Sonic x Shadow Generations , FFX/X2 (I think the kids might actually dig X2 so I might try to use it as her gateway into RPGs) and Valkyrie Profile are also the only things I am grabbing from the PS sale. Will settle on the Steam haul today.
This week: well, I go back to work Thursday so that means commuting so probably Relink. Which I wanted to play over break. Kids are time vampires, man...
I found the thread with the lists argyle and Izzy made for the next game club. I abso ******* lately know with 100% certainty what I am voting for argyle to play. Will put the thread up probably tonight. In the car waiting for the foster babies' visit with their mother to be over, want to post the thread from my laptop since it's easier .

Have not heard of that one. You can't give any other information?

Well on the surface it's a roguelike deck builder, but it's a lot more than that. It's the kind of game that could only be made by an indie studio.

Man, I hope so. My college team's season ended badly and I don't know if I could take another loss like the last one to KC.

I haven't played it, but I remember Shuhei Yoshida raving about it, and I thought it sounded like an argyle game... maybe because Culdcept came to mind when I saw it, even though it's probably nothing like that.

It's already in my library, and based on your recommendation I'll go ahead and install it for when I'm in the mood for a 2D platformer.

It's been on my wishlist since I first heard about it, but I haven't picked it up yet. Weird...weird is good.

Well, I don't want to put any sort of jinx on your team, but if I were to make my Super Bowl pick now (and there's no reason to wait on more info, lol.) it would be Ravens vs Lions with the Ravens winning. I know the Lions have *TONS* of injuries but that Dan Campbell mindset is just, "We're going to figure it out and find a way no matter what!" (love that vibe) I just think the losses catch up with them come the final Sunday of the season and your boyz finally hoist that trophy. (with Lamar at the helm, I mean.)
