Games added: Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy, Ace Attorney Investigations Collection, Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus, Pikmin 1+2 (all switch - play-asia order arrived), Mountain Bike Adrenaline (ps2)
Last week: Finished Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance, played Vampire Survivors
This week: More VS of course, but I haven't decided what else I'm going to start (or pick back up) next
Our library had a big sale of old books & media this weekend. While I was poking around I found a lone PS2 game, Mountain Bike Adrenaline. No clue what it is or if it's any good, but it was in really good condition and it's pretty rare these days to find a PS2 game out in the wild (not in a retro game store) so for the $2 they were asking I grabbed it.
Harmony of Dissonance was good, but had some issues. Most of them stemmed from the confusing map & the lack of quick travel points in it (strangely, until the VERY END of the game). My rankings for the GBA Castlevanias, from worst to best, is Circle of the Moon, Harmony of Dissonance, and Aria of Sorrow. I'm glad I've played Harmony, but I don't know that I would go back & play it again.

Wow, I didn't think there was a PS2 title I was unfamiliar with. I looked at the cover and it does seem familiar, but only faintly so. I wonder if it's worth playing?

Yeah the navigation was certainly not the highlight of HoD, although I certainly loved it overall. I preferred Aria as well though.
As for myself, I'm just trying to wrap up some gaming loose ends that have straggled this year as well as revisit and formulate complete opinions on some other stuff I've played so that I can hopefully put together a year end thing.
I'll probably try to squeeze a few others in over the last two months of 2024 as well. I think I'm at 55 games played last time I checked, so it's been a pretty "productive", lol, gaming year. Granted, like most years that also includes some quickies as well as some that were easily dismissed without too much investment because they were:
But, I've had plenty of games that were really excellent and made this a memorable year for this hobby overall.

Hey. My wife is in politics and been busy and traveling and such. Sorry I have been absent recently.
Played: Megaton Musashi W Wired (logged in for 20 days straight...for bonuses I don't understand...but I played my PS4 for a few minutes a day for 20 days straight!), MM Battle Network 2 (i gotta see this thing through, man), SMT3 (slow but steady...), Sunset Overdrive (I see the appeal but it's just not clicking...)
Bought: Hades, Pyre, Weird West, Undertale all for Steam Deck (they aren't getting touched on PS4 so maybe they will make good on the go games).
Patiently waiting for a Black Friday price drop: Sonic x Shadow Generations (they suckered me with Frontiers, I wanna see if they pull the same thing again before I buy the like...third best game of the year)
This week: Hades, Battle Network 2, Megaton and SMT3...MAYBE Sunset Overdrive a bit more...
I really, really love Megaton Musashi W. I don't know what is happening and I don't care. It's dumb mecha, mission based insanity with insane amounts of loot for some reason and I am just falling for it hard. It's like they saw 13 Sentinels Aegis Rim and thought they could copy the homework but got very mixed up somewhere and made something entirely different but still endearing. I reiterate: pick it up on the cheap!
i want to like Sunset Overdrive. Maybe the Steam Deck is the issue, it's just not hitting. It's got all the Insomniac hallmarks but it's kinda dull. Somehow. Considering how loud it is visually.
Hope all's well friends, I will try to check in more now that the election is at least over!

Nice! That one doesn't spark any memories for me, although I'm sure I saw a copy or two during all my many Gamestop visits back in the day.
Man I love to go through sales like that. Our library has them every year and it's a blast. My best find was probably a box set of doo-wop music for $1. (Yes, I am old.)

Glad to hear it. I've worked in newsrooms my whole life, and it was very weird not being a part of Election Day craziness this year (seeing as I'm still unemployed). But overall glad it's over, since I don't think I could make it through another football weekend with campaign commercials.

Looking forward to hearing how that goes. I tried it and it didn't click at all. I got stuck in something that seemed like it should be very simple. I'll fire it up again at some point... maybe as my next one.
Played recently: Dragon Quest Builders 2
Finished: nothing
Added to backlog: nothing
Current backlog: 44
I'm having a great time with DQB2. I'm currently
