Well, like I said, 3 is fantastic (from what I remember). The 4th one was kind of a change for the series, almost a soft reboot. I couldn't get into that one - not saying it's bad, it just didn't click with me at the time. I'd like to give it another go. I still own them all (along with the Smash Bros. knock-off game they made - Blade Warriorsisthatallyougot wrote: Thu Sep 17, 2026 6:19 pm That's a lot of movies monkey!
I've only played Onimusha 1 & 2 despite having owned them all. I enjoyed both, but I'd probably play the other PS2 entries before trying another one.
I remembered last night that MS will issue refunds for games a few days after you purchase them, provided you haven't put much time into them. I think I had played *maybe* an hour of Dawnwalker, so I filed for my refund & they granted it immediately. So now I'm re-tempted by Onimusha - but I'd also like to have it physical, and we're coming up on the time of year for sales. So iunno.
I played the demo of another game I'm interested in last night, The Adventures of Elliot, and I love that one. It's a S-E joint, in that 3D-pixel art style they've been using for games like Octopath Traveler. Except this one is an old-school action RPG, kinda in the style of a classic Zelda or Secret of Mana. The demo is long - I haven't reached the end of it yet, and I played a good way in. It's the beginning of the game, and your save carries over. I may have to buy that one sooner rather than later...
