Unfortunately no, I didn't find it to get better. It's got some nice qualities, but it's too check-listy for me, and I just couldn't justify spending more time with it, since there's so much out there I want to play. It's not bad, but "not bad" isn't good enough these days.

There's a lot to like about this new God of War. Unfortunately there's also a lot I don't really like, but it sure is a looker:
